Artificial intelligence requires not only powerful algorithms, but also direct collaboration between research and industry.
We were delighted to welcome Silicon Saxony’s AI Working Group to the HZDR. The focus was on the diverse activities of the HZDR and the HZDR AI Lab, as well as the areas where we are already collaborating with companies.
Dr. Katrin Schultheiß provided insights into reservoir computing, and the new HZDR data center was also highlighted. In addition, HZDR researchers gave short presentations on how they are already using AI today in projects with companies to streamline processes, accelerate scientific discoveries, and tap into new innovation potential.
The open discussion on specific use cases, challenges, and future opportunities for collaboration between academia and industry was particularly valuable.
