On 24 June, HZDR successfully hosted its first Startup Pitch Day at the Innovation Campus Radeberg. Seven promising startup teams presented their technologies and business ideas to an audience of investors, business angels, and mentors. Despite temperatures above 30°C, the atmosphere was all about innovation, entrepreneurship, and new opportunities.
More than 20 representatives from the investment community joined the event to discover research-based innovations with the potential to make the leap from the lab to the market.
The program featured a keynote by Nikolaus Vollmer from High-Tech Gründerfonds, who shared insights into financing DeepTech startups. During the subsequent speed-dating sessions, founders received valuable feedback, expanded their networks, and explored potential partnerships and funding opportunities.
A special thank you to the HZDR Innovators School and dresden|exists, whose coaching and support prepared the teams for their pitches and accompanied them throughout the event.
Our sincere thanks also go to all investors, business angels, and mentors who generously shared their time, expertise, and feedback. Your engagement, questions, and openness to connect with our founders made this first Pitch Day a truly rewarding experience. We are excited to see where these entrepreneurial journeys will lead next.
