The course provides participants with expertise in research ethics and offers them a space to reflect on their values and attitudes as researchers. It also allows them to practice handling conflict-laden situations in their research. Participants gain knowledge of the rules of good scientific practice and train their competencies in making responsible decisions in their everyday research work.
The content and scope are based on the DFG memorandum and the guidelines of the HZDR for ensuring good scientific practice.

This training is designed primarily for first-year doctoral researchers who have worked on their projects for at least four months and are not affiliated with TU Dresden. Participation is also open to others in a similar phase of their doctorate.
Dates: 
Day 1: February 23, 2026 | 9:15am – 5pm
Day 2: February 24, 2026 | 9:15am – 1:30pm
Participation on both training days is mandatory. If you are unable to attend the full training duration on both days, please refrain from registering.
Location: online via Zoom (The Zoom link will be sent to all registered participants approximately one week before the event.)
